As the founder and CEO of MDCrashPad, my journey in medicine is a tapestry woven with diverse experiences, trials, and an unwavering commitment to supporting fellow medical professionals and researchers in our shared calling. My pathway to become an MD/PhD—blending roles as a physician, surgeon, scientist and entrepreneur—was truly a global odyssey. Through my training opportunities, I had the privilege of living, studying and working throughout the United States and abroad, meeting people from all over the world and learning about their unique challenges and needs on the path to become physicians, surgeons, scientists and start-up founders. My journey, marked by its inherent challenges and discoveries, laid the foundation for the creation of MDCrashPad.

Throughout my medical training journey, I grappled with the challenge of securing affordable accommodations tailored to specific needs at each point in my education and family life as a mother, wife and member of my religious community. Painful gaps in housing at critical inflection points in my medical training and while obtaining my PhD and becoming an entrepreneur inspired the initial creation of MDCrashPad in 2016. 

From the first days of MDCrashPad, my aim was clear: Provide safe, clean, and budget-friendly lodgings during pivotal career phases for medical professionals, researchers and start-up founders. What began as a room rental business, MDCrasPad has evolved into a holistic community offering informal advice, support, and assistance for those navigating the complex landscape of medical training, basic science and Public Health research, and biomedical/medical entrepreneurship. 

As the Founder and Owner, my vision is to transform MDCrashPad into a comprehensive hub, a community that is both virtual and physical, connecting medical professionals and trainees, researchers and entrepreneurs with the resources they need to grow their networks, find peace and renewal at a home away from home and, ultimately, CHANGE LIVES!
